Job Overview:

• 3 pm for the school year September
• June (you will also need to be available for training hours that begin in August). Our OCFS licensed/Private Jewish Preschool nestled in the heart of Dix Hills is a hidden gem. We offer excellent starting salary plus benefits, paid training and many incentives. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and daily classroom activities.
• Support children’s learning and development through individualized and group interactions
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Assist with behavior management and conflict resolution
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
• Help monitor attendance and track student progress, documenting observations and providing feedback to the lead teacher as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers weekly to share ideas and plan curriculum including monthly events.

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of previous experience working with young children in an educational setting (resumes that do not indicate this experience will not be considered for this position).
• -Patience, warmth and kindness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents and colleagues.
• Knowledge of Jewish holidays and traditions.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
