Assistant Teacher

Tomahawk St, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598 We are currently looking for a passionate and energetic Assistant Teacher to help support our staff. The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for supporting the classroom teacher in a variety of ways including facilitating student instruction, monitoring student behavior and communicating with parents. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

Creating a safe, fun and stimulating learning environment that is accessible to children with a variety of backgrounds and needs. Facilitating meaningful learning experiences through the use of a variety of activities, materials, and curriculum materials. Providing positive feedback, direction, and guidance. Maintaining a clean and organized classroom and materials. Communicating with parents in a helpful and respectful way.

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$16.20 – $19.50 per hour
