Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to join our Extended School Year program. As a Paraprofessional, you will work closely as a team to provide instruction for children aged 7-21 with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children while gaining valuable experience in the field of special education. This summer we are hiring a 1:1 paraprofessional or certified teacher. Our program is focused on community based instruction and includes classroom instruction, community based outings, field trips, and more!

Responsibilities:

• implementing educational programs and activities
• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with autism
• Help create a safe learning environment
• Support students in developing social skills and positive behavior management
• Assist with classroom management and organization
• Work on identified ESY goals and objectives
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback
• Engage students in educational and recreational activities
• Maintain accurate records of student behavior and progress

Note:

All positions at our organization are paid. Our program runs from June 25th through August 29th. Qualifications Strong classroom management skills and experience working with children, particularly in special education settings. Excellent communication and behavior management skills. Familiarity with working with students with autism and developmental disabilities is a plus. Previous experience with special education or related field preferred.
