Monday-Friday 8:00a.m. – 2:30p.m

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Preschool Teacher Aide to join our preschool team. As a Teacher Aide, you will assist the lead teacher in implementing educational and developmental programs for young children, ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily lesson plans and activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children aged 3-5 years. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Help with meal and snack times, including setting up and cleaning up afterwards. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting open communication and collaboration. Observe children and document their progress, behavior, and development as directed by the lead teacher. Provide support for children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance. Assist with the implementation of classroom management strategies, including reinforcing positive behavior and redirecting negative behavior when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned by the lead teacher or preschool director.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in early childhood education or child development preferred, but not required. Previous experience working with young children in a preschool, daycare, or similar setting is advantageous. Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in the well-being and development of young children. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate professionally with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and participate in physical activities with children.

Working Conditions:

This position typically operates in a classroom setting within a preschool environment. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, and lifting.
