- Hamburg Area School District is looking to fill the following anticipated vacancies for the start of the 2025-2026 school year:
- Tilden Elementary Center
- Paraeducator, One-to-one/Learning Support/Supplemental Support
- Perry Elementary Center
- Paraeducator, One-to-one/Learning Support/Supplemental Support
- Hamburg Area Middle School
- Paraeducator, Emotional Support
- Hamburg Area Middle School
- Paraeducator, Autistic/Life Skills Support
- Hamburg Area Middle School
- Paraeducator, Blind/Visually Impaired (must know braille or be willing to work towards proficiency)
- Hamburg Area High School
- Paraeducator, Emotional Support
- Additional positions that may arise prior to the start of the 2024-2025 school year

Work Schedule:
7 hours per day which includes a 30-minute, duty-free, paid lunch (Elementary
- approximately 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Secondary
- approximately 7:30 am
- 2:30 pm)
- Hourly rate:
- Level 1: $16.34 (minimum qualifications / willing to obtain certificate of competency)
- Level 2: $23.00 (possesses a valid PA or other state teaching certificate)
- This position is benefits eligible for single-level coverage and offers 12 days of paid leave + 6 paid holidays per year
- Position Summary
- Assists the classroom teacher in a variety of settings by performing assigned duties related to the learning process such as assembling and preparing instructional materials and monitoring students.
May assist with translation and/or communication using second language skills when possible. Tasks include but are not limited to, performing instructional activities planned by the teacher, giving the teacher feedback on student’s progress and assisting in clerical duties, as assigned. Under direction/supervision of the teacher / Principal, and general supervision of the Director of Special Education and Student Services.
- Minimum Qualifications
- 1.
Pennsylvania Paraprofessional certificate, OR2. Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university, OR3. Such alternative to the above qualifications as deemed appropriate.
