The ideal candidate will provide support to students with special needs, ensuring they receive the personalized attention and education they deserve. - Assist teachers in creating engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to students with special needs.
- Help develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and curricula that align with Montessori principles.
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students, focusing on literacy education and other essential skills.
- Support students with daily routines, such as toileting and feeding, and ensure their overall care is met.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Participate in classroom activities and support teachers with special education needs.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and productive learning environment. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience working with students with special needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of literacy education and curriculum development.
- Familiarity with Montessori education and its principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
- Physical ability to assist with student care and mobility.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
