K-12 QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to care for needs of exceptional children according to job description. Behavior management and De-Escalation Techniques are mandatory. You may be chosen by your supervisor, this year or in subsequent years, to participate in a TACT2 team where TACT2 training is mandatory. This team would be called to deal with students that can be extremely aggressive, verbally and/or physically. Duties include providing instructional support to students under direction of the classroom teacher, providing personal care services to students, data collection, use of personal safety techniques, implementation of various protocols, and will be required to participate in trainings related to their duties. PA Competency Test for Para Educators or Associate Degree or higher preferred.
