PROGRAM OVERVIEW
DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,500 includes undergraduate day and evening students, and graduate students. DeSales has approximately 135 full-time faculty members and offers more than 40 bachelor’s degrees, twelve graduate programs, and over 20 certificate programs in a wide range of disciplines; many of these can be completed fully online. EOE POSITION SUMMARY
This position serves as an integral member of the Physician Assistant Program team, working collaboratively with the Program Director, faculty, staff, and students. The program assistant is an energetic, amicable, flexible, and highly organized individual.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma required, college degree preferred Excellent communications skills both oral and written 2-3 years of related experience in a higher education environment or customer service-based industry Possess and be able to use math skills to provide accurate financial and other data accounting Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems preferred Ability to exercise independent judgment, balance competing responsibilities, and complete assignments in a timely manner Maintain confidentiality and discretion Dedicated to the mission of the PA Program and the University Occasional attendance at Program functions outside of standard work hours Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability, and diversity Dedicated to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution DeSales University is an EEO employer – M/F/Vets/Disabled
