Assistant Teacher Dare 2 Dream Daycare Wyoming, PA 18644 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students. This position is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about early childhood education and have a strong desire to make a positive impact on children’s lives, including those with disabilities. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to preschool-aged children. Support the development of curriculum that fosters childhood development and meets the diverse needs of all students. Educate children on essential skills, including basic math concepts, through interactive and playful methods. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to education. Help create an inclusive environment for children with special needs, adapting activities as necessary to support their learning. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Observe and assess student progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher regarding individual student needs and achievements. Skills Experience or education in early childhood education or related fields is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and special education practices is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being able to take initiative when needed. Familiarity with curriculum development strategies that promote engaging learning experiences for young children.
