Provides help to the classroom teachers and assists in implementing the program curriculum. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA values: Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Caring. Positions Available in Muncy and Montoursville

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides help to the classroom teachers and assists in implementing the program curriculum. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA values: Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Caring. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in managing classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment. Support students with diverse needs, including those with special education requirements. Help implement lesson plans and facilitate literacy and math education. Foster communication with students, parents, and staff to enhance educational experiences. Ensure safety protocols are followed, including maintaining CPR and AED certifications. Engage in behavior management and support the development of social skills among students.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High School Diploma or General Education Certificate and two (2) years’ work experience related to the care and development of children. 2. Compliance with Act 33, to include documentation of Child Abuse History (Form CY‐113), Criminal History (Form SP4‐ 164), FBI fingerprinting and NSOR (National Sex Offender Registry) Clearance. 3. Bi‐Annual physical examination and initial TB (Mantoux) Test and freedom from infectious or communicable disease. 4. Ability to work with and related well to young children and coworkers. Building authentic relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. 3 5. At least 18 years of age. 6. CPR, First Aide, AED certification and Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training within 30 days of hire date.
