Position Overview:
We are seeking a warm, dependable, and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our Infant Room team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood development and dedicated to creating a safe, stimulating, and loving environment for infants (ages 6 weeks to 18 months).
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Lead Teacher in daily care routines, including feeding, diapering, napping, and soothing infants Engage infants in age-appropriate sensory activities and early STEM exploration through play Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Build strong, trusting relationships with babies, parents, and staff Assist with documentation of developmental milestones and daily communication with families Collaborate with the Lead Teacher and team to implement individualized care and learning plans Uphold all licensing and health/safety guidelines
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience with infants in a childcare setting strongly preferred Passion for nurturing young children and supporting their early growth Ability to work collaboratively with a teaching team CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Patience, reliability, and a warm, caring personality
