Program Assistant Women Against Abuse – 3.6 Philadelphia, PA Job Details $17.50 – $18.85 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Paid training Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance Qualifications Bilingual English Microsoft Office Organizational skills Phone triage Associate’s degree Communication skills Editing Entry level Full Job Description Women Against Abuse (WAA), Philadelphia’s leading domestic violence advocate and service provider and among the largest domestic violence agencies in the country serving 2 Safe Havens, 15 Transitional Housing apartments, Legal Services, Hotline Counseling, Aftercare Community-Based services, Prevention & Education, and Advocacy is looking for a Program Assistant within our Legal Center! Responsibilities The LC Program Assistant provides receptionist, clerical and administrative support to the Legal Center. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Greeting visitors, determining the nature and purpose of the visit, and directing or escorting visitors to their specific destinations. Pick up, sort and distribute mail to staff; coordinate and track overnight and other expedited mailings. Update staff names for mailboxes and Staff Directory on a quarterly basis. Manage petty cash fund; distribute petty cash/transportation to staff. Provide support to professional staff including-typing, editing, and filing of reports, legal documents, meeting minutes and correspondence as necessary. Record and maintain minutes at various meetings; take attendance, assure distribution of minutes to staff members. Answer/Triage phone calls; May perform preliminary intake screening for all telephone and walk-in clients. Coordinate and assist in Special Projects. Maintain professionalism, sensitivity, and confidentiality at all times, attend staff, program and Agency meetings, as well as supervision as required. All responsibilities are expected to be delivered satisfactorily and with superior customer service and according to Agency standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software,required. Demonstrated proficiency in communication, both verbal and written,required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population, required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member, required. Demonstrated commitment to service of others, required. Bilingual in another language in addition to English, required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a non-profit environment, preferred. Office support, administrative, or similar experience, preferred. Strong organizational skills, preferred. PCADV Certification, preferred. If not already obtained, must attend Domestic Violence Advocate Paid Training, Post Hire Recent PA Child Abuse, Criminal and FBI clearances, preferred; If not obtained, must satisfactorily pass criminal (state & FBI) and child abuse clearances, Post Offer•

PM Pay Range:
$17.50 — $18.85 an hour
