We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Autistic Support Teachers to join our teams at Weigelstown Elementary and North Salem Elementary for the upcoming school year.

Position Summary:

The Autistic Support Teacher is responsible for providing specialized instruction to elementary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and fostering a supportive and structured classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence.

Location:

Weigelstown Elementary School North Salem Elementary School Positions are available at both schools. Please indicate your preferred location in your application.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver individualized instructional plans aligned with each student’s IEP. Utilize evidence-based practices, visual supports, and structured routines to support student learning and behavior. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, families, and related service providers. Create a positive, safe, and structured learning environment. Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and adjust instruction as needed. Participate in IEP meetings and support the development of student goals.

Qualifications:

Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Certification in Special Education (PK-8 or equivalent required). Strong understanding of autism, sensory needs, and behavioral interventions.
