Select Savvy is seeking a dedicated Signing ASL Paraeducator to join a supportive school community in Charleston, SC for the 2025-2026 school year. This role provides one-on-one and classroom support to help students access academic content and fully participate in school activities through American Sign Language (ASL) and general classroom assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate communication between students and teachers, peers, and school staff using ASL Provide academic and classroom support as needed Encourage student participation in class, school routines, and extracurricular activities Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and support personnel Maintain confidentiality and respect student privacy at all times
Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience working with students with disabilities is a plus High school diploma or equivalent (required) Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work collaboratively in a school environment
