Summer Camp Assistant Teacher Heart Beatz Dance Academy 1140 Oakland Market Rd, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466 Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for the upcoming camp season. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, ensuring the well-being of campers, and fostering positive relationships among participants. Ideal candidates should have experience working with children and possess strong leadership skills. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times during activities and events. Provide guidance and support to campers in developing social skills and teamwork. Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive camp environment. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members regarding camper progress and concerns. Assist with daily camp operations including setup, cleanup, and maintaining equipment. Administer first aid when necessary and ensure that all health protocols are followed. Foster an inclusive atmosphere where all campers feel welcome and valued. Requirements Experience in daycare, babysitting, or other childcare settings is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills to effectively engage children in various activities. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to handle diverse camper needs. Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate. Previous tutoring or experience working with children is beneficial. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages. A positive attitude, patience, and a passion for working with youth.
