Assistant Teacher Christocrats Academy of Science and Technology 815 W Rutledge Ave, Gaffney, SC 29341
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children in the toddler and preschool age range.
- Provide support and guidance to children with special needs, including those with autism or other behavioral challenges.
- Assist with behavior management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan and implement engaging and educational activities.
- Support children’s social-emotional development through positive interactions and modeling appropriate behaviors.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and provide updates on their child’s progress.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in early childhood education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques, particularly for children with special needs.
- Understanding of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
