STARBASE

Swamp Fox Advanced program conducted at the Middle School level. Former teaching and/or school administration experience is desirable. Minimum and Additional Requirements Bachelor’s degree in education, preferably elementary or middle school in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline. Personnel with comparable military instructional experience or individuals pursuing teaching certificates may be considered. Additional Comments Must have knowledge of the principles of instruction, knowledge of basic education principles and theories, and the knowledge of modern management techniques and principles. Ability to create and apply lesson plans. Ability to maintain an orderly classroom and render individualized instruction. Ability to maintain effective relationships with students, visiting teachers, administrators and parents. Criminal history background checks are required for all individuals involved with the provision of C&Y services and programs who have regular contact with children under the age of 18.
