Job Description:
Equally Created seeks a dedicated and passionate Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of young children in a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment. You will be responsible for helping deliver high-quality early childhood education using child-led, trauma-informed, and Conscious Discipline curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Implementation:
Assist in organizing and implementing the curriculum to provide a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate early childhood education program.
Classroom Management:
Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages active exploration and fosters independence and self-regulation through Conscious Discipline techniques.
Student Engagement:
Engage children in hands-on activities, play-based learning, and interactive lessons that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Individualized Instruction:
Assess the individual needs of each child, with the Lead Teacher, and help adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and developmental levels.
Parent Communication:
Maintain open and positive communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies to support each child’s growth.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other teachers, floaters, and administrative staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational community.
Professional Development:
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and the implementation of child-led, trauma-informed, and Conscious Discipline curriculum.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Experience:
Prior experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
Curriculum Knowledge:
Familiarity with child-led, trauma-informed, and Conscious Discipline curriculum is a strong advantage.
Skills:
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
Certifications:
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
