Early Childhood – Teacher Assistant Woodmont Baptist Weekday Preschool Nashville, TN 37215 Summary Woodmont Baptist Weekday Preschool (“WBWP”) seeks an energetic, nurturing, and positive person to be a classroom assistant teacher in our toddler room. We accept children four months through from 5 years of age and partners with families to provide developmentally appropriate preschool education in a respectful, creative, nurturing Christian environment. Our teachers and assistant teachers are responsible for fostering a warm and accepting atmosphere while valuing and promoting play. Duties Carry out activities on a daily basis, evaluate the effectiveness of child development activities. Ensure the safety and physical well-being of the children. Maintain frequent communication with parents through informal discussions and parent-teacher conferences Contribute to the effective operation of the overall childcare center program. Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met Ensure a healthy classroom environment, including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement Maintain confidentiality of information relating to children, families, and staff. Requirements Minimum requirement of a High School Diploma Must clear full background check and must pass annual health screening Prefer at least 1 year of early childhood experience. High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children and parents) and to foster a team environment Willing to fulfill responsibilities according to WBWP’s philosophy and curriculum guidelines. Flexible, able to adapt to diverse situations that may arise.
