We have opportunities for both Afternoon Assistant Teachers and Full-Time Assistant Teachers. Afternoon Assistant Teachers work from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Full-Time Assistant Teachers start at either 8:00 am or 9:00 am, have a one-hour lunch break, and work until we close at 5:00 pm. Both positions are required to attend a monthly meeting from 5:00 pm to 6:15 pm. The successful candidate will assist the Lead Teacher in delivering engaging lessons, creating and following lesson plans, supporting with administrative tasks, and interacting with students daily. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential. Experience working with children from birth to age 5 is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Available for either the 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm shift or a full-time schedule (8:00 am or 9:00 am start, closing at 5:00 pm). Attend a monthly meeting from 5:00 pm to 6:15 pm. Assist the Lead Teacher in all aspects of classroom management. Be kind, patient, and attentive to children’s needs. Interact with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress. Build positive relationships with children, parents/guardians, and coworkers. Demonstrate a positive attitude toward work and the children. Be flexible and adapt to the changing needs of the children and school. Assist with all aspects of childcare, including meals, diapering/potty training, and organizing the classroom as needed throughout the day.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with children ages birth to 5 is preferred, but we are willing to train individuals new to working with children. An interest in pursuing a career in education is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and coworkers. Must pass all required background checks and meet state licensing requirements. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
