is seeking a Paraprofessional for the Preschool, 2 Year Old Classroom i n the Lower School for the 2025 – 26 school year, beginning late July 2025.

Full-time, 40 hours Reports to: Lower School Principal

PURPOSE/FUNCTION

Assists teachers in a nurturing and educational environment by providing hands-on support for daily activities, including diaper changing, while following established procedures to ensure the safety, well-being, and proper instruction of students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with early childhood students in a variety of settings. Assists with addressing student behavior to increase student independence in the classroom. Maintains confidentiality for students at CCS. Works under a licensed teacher to implement lessons for a variety of academic subjects included guided reading and small-group math sessions. Helps with administrative duties as needed. Communicates clearly through speaking and writing. Facilitates positive social exchanges for students with disabilities and students who are typically developing. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to the mission of Chattanooga Christian School. Ability to work well with children across a variety of settings. Proficient with a range of technology. Character, call, and availability to fulfill needs of job description. Highly motivated and able to work collaboratively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to problem-solve and think creatively. Ability to exercise discretion and utmost professionalism in confidential and sensitive student matters.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a role that requires standing, walking, running, sitting, squatting, and jumping for a significant amount of time each day.
