East Lake Corps Position:
Regular Part Time Program Aide Pay Rate:

$15.00/hour About this opportunity: Assists in facilitating and monitoring assigned recreational activities of the Corps programs; supervises and provides homework tutoring; transports patrons to and from the Corps programs & events; assists in maintaining facilities, equipment, and grounds.

Key responsibilities:

Plans, organizes, coordinates, supervises, leads, and evaluates activities for the assigned program area. Supervises and takes part in organized group games amongst children; leads and motivates children to exhibit good sportsmanship. Reports any injuries to the supervisor immediately and instructs the injured party to complete an incident report. Supervises the care and maintenance of all equipment and supplies of the area of the building assigned, reports damages of equipment or loss of supplies to the Community Center Coordinator. Recommends and requisitions supplies from the Community Center Coordinator. Stimulates interest and participation in all activities within the policies and operating procedures of the organization. Assists in fulfilling chores such as preparing the daily snack, setting up homework supplies, maintaining the Corps in good condition and cleaning up at the end of the day; maintains the general cleanliness, orderliness, and security of the area of the building assigned; receives and documents weekly payments made by parents. Assists other departments when asked, especially in helping with special events and fund-raising activities. Interprets through all available media the objectives and standards of the program to staff, parents, members, volunteers, and the public. Monitors and participates in the general maintenance of the facilities; removes unattractive trash from the property; reports needed equipment and facility repairs to the Corps Officer in a timely manner. What we are looking for in you: High school diploma or G.E.D. and six months experience coaching and supervising athletic events and experience maintaining grounds, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Must be able to work all hours assigned including but not limited to After School program, School Fall, Spring and Summer breaks as well as bad weather days. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
