Mon-Wed, Fri 10:00 AM-6:00 PM; Thurs 10:30 AM-7:00 PM Summer (4 of 6 weeks): Mon-Fri 8:15 AM-4:15

PM In-service Days:

8:00 AM-4:00

PM Overview:

This position supports the toddler classroom and leads aftercare for young children in a Montessori environment. The role includes assisting with daily classroom routines, supervising children during various activities, and maintaining a safe, calm, and respectful atmosphere. Candidates should be warm, dependable, and love working outdoors in all seasons.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist classroom staff with daily routines, transitions, and classroom upkeep Supervise toddlers during work cycles, recess, nap, and aftercare Provide respectful toileting/hygiene support Lead aftercare activities and maintain safety outdoors in all weather Support school events and help with material prep and logistics Communicate professionally and work collaboratively with staff Participate in training, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications:

At least 21 years old with a high school diploma (college coursework preferred) Experience working with young children (ages 2-6 preferred) Strong communication, teamwork, and observation skills Interest in or familiarity with Montessori philosophy Able to work actively outdoors and respond to children’s needs with calmness and care

Compensation:

Hourly pay ranges from $14.25-$18.25/hr , based on experience, education, and certifications using a point-based pay scale.
