  • Help students with special needs build lifeskills, confidence, and independence in a supportive schoolenvironment. Your Role as a Special Education Paraprofessional Provide Individualized Instruction
  • Teach and mentor studentsin the Outreach Program, delivering personalized support based ontheir Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Support Students in Home & Community Settings
  • Work one-on-onewith students on the Autism Spectrum to foster academic,behavioral, and vocational development. Implement IEP Goals
  • Assist students in achieving theirindividualized learning objectives by adapting instructionalmethods and interventions to meet their unique needs. Utilize Evidence-Based Strategies
  • Apply behavioral andeducational techniques to support student progress in academics,social skills, and independent living skills. Monitor & Track Progress
  • Collect and document data on studentperformance, providing feedback to the educational team forcontinuous improvement. Collaborate with Families & Educators
  • Maintain opencommunication with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensureconsistency in student learning and behavior support. Foster a Positive Learning Environment
  • Encourage studentengagement, build confidence, and promote independence throughstructured support and reinforcement strategies.
RequiredQualifications:

An Associate’s degree or a minimum of 48 semester credit hoursfrom an accredited institution. Minimum of three months of professional experience (paid orvolunteer) working with individuals with behavioral or learningdisabilities OR three months of internship experience working withindividuals with behavioral or learning disabilities as part of acollege degree program in education, social services, psychology,mental/behavioral health, or a related field. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and activeauto insurance coverage. Effective communication and collaboration skills with students,families, and staff. Active listening and emotional intelligence to supportstudents’ needs. Ability to foster a positive, professional school environmentwith patience and adaptability. Basic computer skills (

Microsoft Office:

Word, Excel, Outlook)for documentation and communication. Preferred (Nice to Have)

Qualifications:

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Qualified Mental HealthProfessional (QMHP) certification. Experience working in special education, mental health, orbehavioral support such as an ABA Therapist, Direct Support,Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Behavioral Health Technician,Paraprofessional, or Teacher Assistant.
