- $65,000 (Paid over 12 months) Thrive Tutoring is seeking a dedicated, full-time private teacher to support a rising 6th grade student in Gallatin, TN.
This is a unique and highly personalized educational placement designed for a family who deeply values close collaboration, academic support, and whole-child development. The family’s current teacher (who has been with them for 3 years and is highly valued) is transitioning out of the role due to maternity leave. Our goal is to ensure a seamless transition with a new teacher ready to begin no later than July 24, 2025. An earlier start would be ideal to allow for onboarding and continuity of care. About the Student and Family The student is currently enrolled at Sumner Academy, a year-round school in Gallatin. He benefits from individualized academic support, enrichment opportunities, and consistent routines. The family is looking for a full-time teacher who is both academically strong and able to serve as a supportive presence for their son. Additional collaboration with the family’s trusted educational consultant will be expected. The student has some motor and visual challenges. While no formal diagnosis was shared, the family is proactive in ensuring he has proper accommodations at school. Responsibilities During the School Year (25 hrs/week): Monday-Thursday (1:00 PM
- 6:00 PM): 1:00-3:00
PM:
Act as a family assistant (light errands, grocery shopping, laundry, preparing learning spaces—all child-centered tasks). 3:00-6:00
PM:
Pick up from school, facilitate snack and movement breaks, provide academic support with homework/study routines, and re-teach challenging concepts when needed. Saturday (4:00 PM
- 9:00 PM): Serve in both academic support and caregiving roles while parents are out.
Includes enrichment activities and preparing the student for the week ahead.
Fridays & Sundays:
Off During Summer (May 22
