Job Description
Southwest Tech is seeking qualified Substitutes for the 2025-26 school year. We are looking for individuals that are available on an on-call basis to cover technical teachers such as Building Trades, Forestry, Auto Technology, Manufacturing, Culinary Arts, Medical Professions, etc. on a per diem basis. We are also looking for substitute Paraprofessionals. Our substitutes must be professional, flexible and want to be a part of the Southwest Tech Team that helps support our positive learning environment. All substitutes must be able to pass the necessary background checks.
Substitute Teachers will:
- Maintain a positive learning environment, and implement effective classroom management skills.
- Follow teacher’s written lesson plans.
- Prepare a written summary of work completed.
- Follow all policies, rules and procedures to which regular teachers are subject.
- Comply with all building and safety procedures and schedules.
Substitute Paraprofessionals will: - Maintain a positive learning environment, and implement effective classroom management skills.
- Follow teacher’s plans.
- Follow all policies, rules and procedures.
- Comply with all building and safety procedures and schedules.
