General Education Paraeducator
Charlotte Central School
Charlotte Central School is seeking an energetic, flexible, and student-centered paraeducator to join our school team. We’re looking for a caring and collaborative individual who is eager to support students of all abilities and step in as a classroom substitute when needed.
This position requires someone who can build positive relationships, promote student independence, and contribute to a safe and inclusive school culture. A willingness to learn, adapt, and problem-solve in a dynamic school setting is essential.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
Supporting students individually or in small groups under the guidance of licensed professionals
Assisting with behavior plans and instructional activities
Supervising students during lunch, recess, and, possibly, on bus routes
Fostering independence so all students can fully participate in school life
Collecting and sharing data with teachers and service providers
Participating in team meetings as requested
Supporting the overall classroom and school environment as needed
Please note: Lifting may be required as part of this position.
