Teacher Assistant | Essex Junction, Vermont 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Essex Junction, VT 05452 Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is for full-time Behavior Interventionists, also referred to as Educational Assistants, supporting students from kindergarten through 8th grade in a vibrant K-12 school setting located in Essex Junction, VT. These contract roles are available for the 2025-2026 school year and will focus on providing behavioral support and interventions to help students thrive academically and socially. Candidates with experience in behavior intervention, school-based support, or paraprofessional roles, including Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under supervision Monitor and support students’ behavioral and social development in classroom and school settings Collaborate with teachers, behavior specialists, and other support staff to optimize student outcomes Collect and document data related to student behaviors and progress Assist in creating a positive and supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Paraprofessional, Behavior Specialist, or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred Demonstrated experience working with school-age children, specifically in behavior intervention or school-based settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families Patience, flexibility, and commitment to support diverse learners
