- Head Start Teacher Assistant
- $21.62-$25.94/ Hour, Generous benefits including: paid time off,medical/dental, paid training. $3,000 sign on bonus. Full time (2 hours/ day of paid prep time).

- are responsible for:
- Assisting Lead Teachers with managing a classroomActing as the Teacher in Teachers AbsenceProviding an effective learning environment within the classroom withthe focus on school readiness skillsCollaborating with other staff to support each individual childs needs.

- What is Required
- High School Diploma or GED requiredPer OHS requirement, must hold a valid Child Development Associate (CDA)or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education (AA), or be enrolled ina program leading to a CDA or AA within 2 years of employment startdate.
Previous experience working with children in a classroom settingpreferred.
Must have a valid drivers license, reliable transportation with personalautomobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandatedby the State of Vermont.
- Successful completion of a criminal history background check afterhire.
Head Start is a federally-funded, national child and family developmentprogram which provides comprehensive services for pregnant women,children from birth to age five, and their families. Services forchildren promote school readiness, and include early education, health,nutrition, mental health, and services for children with special needs.
Services for parents promote family engagement, and include parentleadership and social service supports.
