United Way of Central Alabama and Birmingham City Schools are teaming up to offer an incredible opportunity for college students to become high-impact tutors in reading and math for grades 6-12. This is your chance to earn money, build your resume, and change lives — all at the same time! Apply now! Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. Open to students from UAB, Miles, Jefferson State, Lawson State, and Samford. United Way of Central Alabama and Birmingham City Schools have partnered to offer a tutoring program that supports students in grades 6 through 12 in reading and math. This initiative was created to help students overcome disrupted learning and continues to play a vital role in academic recovery. It’s a great opportunity to earn income and gain valuable experience while making a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners.

Flexible scheduling — from 5 to 20 hours/week
