Job Description:
A private family is seeking a deeply committed, full-time homeschool educator for their 6.5-year-old daughter entering 1st grade. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, morally grounded, and service-minded individual to become an integral mentor and role model in a young student’s formative years. The ideal candidate will have the intellectual and emotional maturity to inspire, educate, and lead with grace and integrity. This is not just a teaching role — it is a long-term position intended to span multiple academic years, ideally through middle or high school, for a family that values legacy, tradition, and character development as much as academics.
Responsibilities:
Deliver daily instruction (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM) in core subjects: math, reading, writing, language. Assist with light curriculum planning, assessments, and progress tracking. Foster character, discipline, creativity, and confidence through personalized support. Encourage exposure to arts, music (especially piano), and foundational values. Serve as a mentor, role model, and trusted presence in the student’s life.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a competitive college or university (education or child development preferred). Bilingual in Spanish, French, or German a plus. Strong grounding in moral values and traditional educational approaches. Experience working with young children in academic or mentoring settings. Strong command of written and spoken English. Polished, professional, and emotionally mature.
Highly Preferred:
Background in classical or values-based education. Experience in homeschooling or private tutoring. Musical ability (piano preferred) and familiarity with arts and/or sports. Excellent personal presentation, organization, and reliability.
Location:
In-person in a private home setting (Naples, FL). Candidate must be punctual, consistent, and highly trustworthy.
