Well, look no further! Chapter One is actively seeking qualified applicants to become an Early Literacy Interventionist for the 2024-2025 school. This part-time position requires a Bachelor’s degree. At Chapter One, we believe in every child’s right to proficient reading by the end of grade one. Our Early Literacy Interventionists play a foundational role in achieving this mission, providing crucial 1:1 reading support when it’s needed most. We are looking for dedicated individuals committed to early childhood education. The role involves working directly with students to deliver personalized reading instruction using Chapter One’s structured model. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree, reliable transportation, availability to work Monday through Friday, and intermediate technology skills. No prior experience is necessary; we value the right attitude and dedication to learning. Alongside other educational staff, Early Literacy Interventionists integrate seamlessly into the team, providing essential support for individual student growth. As an Early Literacy Interventionist (ELI), you will play a crucial role in supporting children’s reading development during their formative years. Through personalized 1:1 sessions, you will build strong relationships with students, fostering a supportive learning environment where every child can thrive. Your dedication and passion for working with young children will contribute directly to our mission of ensuring every child’s right to read proficiently by the end of grade one.
Responsibilities:
Monitor student progress throughout the year using Chapter One’s tools and assessments. Deliver personalized 1:1 instruction based on Chapter One’s structured model. Document each tutoring session using Chapter One’s platform. Assign new practice activities during each session Challenge students to reach each new goal and celebrate student success. Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with managers, classroom instructors, literacy coaches, and administrators. Provide basic technology support for the students’ use of handheld devices for independent practice. - No weekends Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year institution Experience using computer software and applications for word processing, email, internet searches and data organization Demonstrated knowledge of office equipment and computer skills such as Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, or similar programs Strong interpersonal, oral presentation and writing skills Professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Must have transportation and ability to work onsite Monday-Friday with flexible hours Intermediate computer and software skills Must pass Chapter One and District required background checks Preferred Qualifications Classroom or early childhood education experience Experience utilizing multiple sources to collect and compile information Demonstrated ability to produce professional business documents with accuracy Ability to manage time effectively in a hectic environment
