Contract Position Summary:
We are seeking a certified and experienced Math Tutor to provide in-home instruction to homeschool students in the West Miami area. This position is ideal for educators who are passionate about personalized learning and comfortable delivering math instruction in a one-on-one setting that aligns with Florida educational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver structured, in-home math instruction to homeschool students in grades K-12 Create lesson plans aligned with the student’s curriculum and academic goals Assess student progress and adjust instruction based on individual learning needs Maintain open communication with parents regarding student development and learning objectives Assist with preparation for standardized tests, end-of-year assessments, or academic evaluations as needed Maintain accurate records of sessions and progress reports
Required Qualifications:
Valid Florida Teaching Certificate (Elementary Education or Mathematics 6-12) Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field Minimum of 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience Strong organizational skills and ability to manage independent instructional sessions Reliable transportation to travel to students’ homes within West Miami Must pass a Level 2 background screening
Schedule & Compensation:
Flexible part-time schedule (typically weekday mornings or early afternoons) Competitive hourly rate based on experience and credentials
