Required:

Taken and passed all college level math courses up to Calculus 1 with no less than a B. Holds a valid Florida Teacher Certification in Mathematics 6-12 Has experience working with students grades 6-12 Pass a background check ​ Math Tutor (College Courses)

Required:

Taken and passed all college level math courses up to Calculus 3 with no less than a B Has experience working with students. Pass a background check ​ Important details/expectations: Compensation/time commitment : $25-$35/hr. The exact rate will depend on the level of education and experience. There may be a few paid workshops/team training and meetings throughout the semester. Tutors will set their own schedule during the school year but summer hours are fixed (see below). If selected as a tutor, you must be able to show proof of passing courses (via transcript) or teacher certification (Math K-5 and Math 6-12 tutor positions).

Start date:

Approximately July 7, 2025. Some training/meetings will be held over each semester. The purpose of the meetings is to debrief on performance (individually and collectively) and plan for any upcoming events. Meetings will be held virtually/in person at a time that reflects the availability of all team members. For the summer July 7-July 26: Tutors for Pre-Calculus, Algebra 2, and Geometry will be needed from 10:25AM-11:45AM on Mon-Thurs . SAT/ACT Tutors will be needed from 9:20AM-10:20AM Mon-Thurs.

After the summer:

Understand that this is a job based on student/tutor placement and availability. That means that hours may not be consistent every week. You should have a minimum availability of 10 hours per week. However, you may tutor 0 hours one week and 10 hours the next week. It is all based on what the clients need and overall client flow in the business. Tutors are expected to provide quality one on one or group instruction to clients.

Summer Location:

Tutoring services will be done at Miami Dade College Eduardo Padron Campus.

After summer:

Tutoring services are done at the most convenient location for the client (virtual via zoom, on campus, coffee shop, local library, their home, etc.) so tutors may be required to do some travel outside of their home.
