Tutors Who:

Are subject matter experts (Grades 3-12 or college level) in math, reading/writing, science, or executive functioning Understand the learning process—not just the answers Are warm, professional, and empathetic communicators Know how to affirm student strengths while supporting areas of challenge Have experience with diverse learners, including gifted and neurodivergent students Know their strengths Are comfortable communicating respectfully, professionally, and with discretion & confidentiality Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that cater to students’ strengths and learning styles. Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to enhance understanding of subject matter. Utilize learning technologies to support and engage students in their educational journey. Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment. Collaborate with parents and educators to track student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed. Support students with learning needs through tailored instructional methods.

Qualifications:

Deep understanding of Neurodiverse students strengths and how students learn Experience designing personalized lesson plans and tracking progress Skilled at adapting teaching to meet a variety of learning needs Excellent collaboration and communication skills with families and students Experience in special education or working with neurodiverse learners is a strong plus Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field a plus High levels of empathy and the ability to truly listen to what students and families need Criminal Background Check (self-paid•we reimburse after 5 sessions)
