Position Summary We are seeking passionate and dedicated Reading & Literacy Tutors to provide high-impact tutoring to K-8 students in Gonzales, Louisiana. This is a hybrid role that combines in-person instruction with virtual sessions, offering flexibility and reach while maintaining high standards of educational excellence. Key Responsibilities Deliver individualized and small-group tutoring in reading and literacy for K-8 students. Conduct both in-person sessions at designated sites in Gonzales, LA and virtual sessions via approved platforms. Use evidence-based reading strategies aligned with state standards and student learning goals. Assess students’ reading levels and progress using informal and formal assessments. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students’ needs. Collaborate with families, teachers, and program coordinators to support student growth. Maintain accurate session logs, progress reports, and attendance records. Attend periodic training and team meetings (virtual or in-person). Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Child Development, or related field (required). Teaching certification or tutoring experience in reading/literacy preferred. Familiarity with common core and state literacy standards. Ability to build rapport with students and families from diverse backgrounds. Strong communication, organization, and technology skills. Reliable internet connection and access to a device for virtual sessions. Additional Requirements Background check and fingerprinting required.
