Job Description

Waynflete School is seeking an in-person, part-time literacy tutor for lower and middle school students in grades K-8. Candidates must have experience teaching reading in the classroom and/or individualized setting, with training in a multisensory intervention program like Orton-Gillingham or Wilson. Preference will be given to those who have experience teaching executive function skills and writing, as well. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Tutoring hours will vary, so candidates must be available during the school day, until 4:30pm. This is an ideal position for people who can be flexible when scheduling sessions with students, and patient when building up a caseload. Availability during the summer months is desired. With an institutional commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Waynflete seeks candidates who are committed to using inclusive methods in their teaching, who are good team players, and who are interested in developing teaching skills.

Taking inspiration from our mission, we seek qualified faculty and staff with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to enhance the student experience and strengthen our community.
