Mooresville/Davidson, NC Location:

Mooresville/Davidson Thrive Tutoring is seeking highly skilled Math Tutors in Algebra/Geometry/Calculus/AP Calculus to work one-on-one with students in their homes across the Nashville area. We are looking for exceptional educators who can effectively teach a variety of middle school content areas, with a focus on Math . Key Responsibilities:

Prepare high-impact lessons in advance of each tutoring session, including gathering materials, preparing the lesson plan, and monitoring student progress. Lead engaging, personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to the needs and goals of each student. Travel to students’ homes or designated tutoring locations across the greater Charlotte area, conducting sessions during after-school, evening, and weekend hours. Communicate promptly and professionally with the Thrive team, students, and families. Collaborate with Thrive team members and families to schedule tutoring sessions that best meet the students’ needs. Maintain open communication with students’ teachers to gain insights into class objectives, lesson plans, and student progress. Share updates with teachers regarding tutoring outcomes. Review and analyze assessment results (if applicable) to adjust instructional approaches. Develop detailed, personalized learning plans in collaboration with the Thrive team to align with each student’s academic goals. Provide feedback to parents after each tutoring session, including a post-session checklist of action items and reminders for the student. Follow through on all commitments and action items outlined during tutoring sessions.

Qualifications:

Highly dependable with a strong sense of responsibility. Excellent communication skills , with a natural ability to build rapport with students and parents. Deep content knowledge in middle school math . Experience in teaching , tutoring , or coaching middle school students, with the ability to provide meaningful feedback to students and their families. Impressive academic credentials that reflect a love for learning and a passion for educating others. Strong commitment to customer service , including punctuality and responsiveness to emails, texts, etc. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. A self-starter , resourceful, and motivated to work in a start-up environment. Proven track record of helping students achieve measurable results.
