Closing Date 05/21/2025 General Definition of Work The Tutor, under general supervision, performs instructional work with minimal decision-making discretion related to implementing a supplemental instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides, and encourages students to support and fulfill their academic goals. Employee performs school-based work to carry out Board of Education policies under the direction of the principal. Salary/Status Flat Rate Hourly/Part-time, 9 months Reports To Principal Place of Work The normal place of work is on the premises used by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools reserves the right to require you to work at such other place(s) as it may reasonably require from time to time. Deliver educational lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning
Monitor and evaluate student progress to address individual needs
Provide supervision of students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment
Perform related duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge and understanding of the principles, practices, and procedures of public-school system policies and technology programs
Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements applicable to school system

Additional Job Information Special Requirements Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license or ability to provide own transportation.
Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Work requires the occasional exertion of up to twenty pounds of force.
Work regularly requires the exchange of accurate and detailed information through oral and written communication.
Constantly operates a computer and other office business equipment.

This is dependent on job performance, staffing needs and/or district funds.
