Associate Degree or 48 semester hours from an accredited college or university Ability to explain concepts effectively to students Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with classroom teachers and students Ability to work with students individually and in small groups

Responsibilities:

Provides supplemental academic assistance to students Conducts instructional activities assigned by the content teacher with individual students or small groups Collaborates with content teachers regarding the progress and individual needs of students Collaborates with the content teacher to deliver differentiated instruction for students based on available local and state student data Assists the content teacher in preparing instructional materials Maintains appropriate records and reporting tools regarding services and student progress Attends required training sessions to learn strategies for working with students Participates in staff development programs to improve job performance
