SCHOOL CLASSROOM – ABA/SPECIAL EDUCATION TUTOR POSITION

$2,000 Sign-on Bonus!• Advance your career in Special Education and ABA with us! The New England Center for Children is seeking to fill a full-time ABA Tutor position. Extensive training provided and previous experience credited!
Tutors will work under the direct supervision of the Partner Program Lead Teacher. The tutor is responsible for supporting students across various settings within the public school. The tutor works directly with students to help them acquire skills and participate successfully throughout the school day utilizing the principles of ABA. Gain knowledge and skills by implementing plans and lessons to address students’ clinical, educational, social, vocational, and daily living skills objectives. Responsibilities Direct instruction for children with autism in both sub-separate and inclusion classrooms
Paid time each day to complete case management responsibilities, which may include:
Data summary
Generating lesson materials
Modifying curriculum
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to carry out written and verbal instructions
Supportive of an inclusive culture celebrating the diversity of NECC’s employees, families, and students Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred
Interest in working with children or young adults in a special education setting
Successful completion of NECC required training, including CALM safety training to teach de-escalation strategies and procedures to manage challenging behavior in the safest way possible.
A driver’s license or access to reliable transportation is required.
Red Cross CPR certification (child, adult, and AED) or CPR training completion through the agency within 6 months of employment. Compensation/Benefits Generous paid vacation starting at 35 days per year
Free on-site Masters Programs through Simmons University (MSEd Autism Specialization) and Western New England University (MS Applied Behavior Analysis) Generous tuition reimbursement for related fields
Possible supervision provided by an onsite BCBA
