Computer Tutor Peaceful Potato Yoga LLC Plainsboro, NJ 08536 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor to provide personalized educational support to a specific client with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The client is looking to do an Excel & PowerPoint course at the Intermediate Level (not Beginner or Advanced). We are looking at 2 hour classes twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays (4 hours a week in total). The client is looking to meet at the Plainsboro Library located in , NJ. This role requires a passion for education and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs. It’s important that the tutor is a computer teacher, or someone in the IT field, who has taught these specific programs before (in schools, colleges, tutoring centers etc), is organized, can direct and take charge, can make decisions and provide curriculum.

Time available:

Tuesdays and Thursdays anytime from 10:30am-6:30pm. 2 hours on Tuesday & 2 hours on Thursdays – 4 hours total. Responsibilities Educate students in specific subject areas, ensuring a clear understanding of concepts and principles. (Excel) Develop customized lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles and needs of each student. Utilize various teaching techniques and resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. The client has an intellectual disability. Monitor clients progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their academic goals. Maintain an organized record of student performance and communicate progress with parents or guardians as needed. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking. Be kind and patient. Requirements Strong knowledge in one or more computer subjects such as Excel. Previous experience in Higher Education Teaching or tutoring and in the special needs field. Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and relatable manner. Excellent communication skills and patience when working with special needs clients. Proficient in using technology for educational purposes; experience with computerized teaching tools is a plus.
