Job Description:

Pay:

$35 – $40/hr We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Tutor to join our team in Queens. In this role, you will provide in-person tutoring to high school students during the day, focusing exclusively on Biology concepts and exam preparation.

Schedule:

Three 4-hour days each week

Pay:

$35 – $40 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct individualized tutoring sessions to help students master Biology concepts and prepare for the new Biology Regents exam. Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the unique needs of each student. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to keep students engaged and motivated. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to foster a supportive learning environment.

Requirements Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing a degree) in Education, Biology, or a related field. Previous experience tutoring or teaching high school Biology. Familiarity with the New York State Regents exams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates who have been fingerprinted by the NYCDOE are strongly preferred.
