The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and be skilled in providing personalized instruction to students. This role involves working with children in various subjects, fostering a love for learning, and helping them achieve their academic goals. The Tutor will create engaging lesson plans and utilize effective classroom management techniques to facilitate a positive learning environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs. Provide instruction in subjects such as literacy education, mathematics, and language skills. Utilize effective classroom management strategies to maintain an engaging and productive learning atmosphere. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Foster a supportive environment that encourages students to express themselves and ask questions. Collaborate with parents and educators to discuss student progress and areas for improvement. Incorporate multicultural perspectives, including languages such as Japanese and Mandarin, into lessons when applicable. Support students with special education needs by adapting materials and teaching strategies. Skills Strong classroom management abilities to maintain focus and engagement among students. Proficiency in Japanese or Mandarin is a plus, enhancing communication with diverse learners. Experience working with children, particularly in preschool or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of literacy education principles to effectively teach reading and writing skills. Ability to design comprehensive lesson plans that cater to different learning styles. Familiarity with special education practices to support diverse learners effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with students, parents, and colleagues. • 2 brothers both needing Certified Wilson Reading Specialist.
• 3 times per week; 1 hour each, being 2 hours each visit/session.
