Mathematics Tutor Shiloh Project Lift 4515 Narrow Paved Road, Lynchburg, SC 29080 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various subjects and have the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner. This role is essential in helping students achieve their academic goals and build confidence in their abilities. The Tutor will work with students of different ages and learning levels, providing personalized instruction tailored to individual needs. Duties Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in subjects such as Geometry, Electrical Engineering, Genetics, Data Structures, Chemical Engineering, Anatomy, Microbiology, Statistics, and more. Develop customized lesson plans that align with students’ learning objectives and curriculum requirements. Assess students’ progress regularly and adjust teaching methods to ensure understanding and retention of material. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and motivation. Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress and areas for improvement. Stay updated on educational best practices and subject matter advancements to enhance tutoring effectiveness. Requirements Strong knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Classroom Management, Geometry, Electrical Engineering, Genetics, Data Structures, Chemical Engineering, Anatomy Knowledge, Microbiology, Statistics. Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently. Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and tracking student progress. A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed academically.
