Entry-Level Tutors – Thrive Tutoring (Nashville, TN) Multiple Openings across Nashville Are you a recent graduate, aspiring educator, or someone with a passion for helping students succeed? Position Overview:
As a Thrive tutor, you’ll support students in building skills, confidence, and academic independence. We provide guidance, resources, and a collaborative team environment to help you grow as an educator.
Responsibilities:
Support students with homework, test prep, and general skill-building in your subject of strength (especially math, reading, and writing). Create fun and engaging lessons that are adapted to each student’s learning style and needs. Travel to students’ homes or meet at designated tutoring locations in Williamson County (primarily Arrington, College Grove, and Nolensville). Communicate regularly with families and Thrive staff about student progress. Commit to a consistent weekly schedule with your students throughout the school year.
We’re Looking For:
College students, recent graduates, or career changers looking to enter the education field. Strong knowledge in at least one core subject area (math, English, science, etc.). Previous experience working with children in any capacity (camp counselor, babysitter, teaching assistant, etc.). Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport and develop relationships. Professionalism, dependability, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.

$30-$50 per hour based on experience and subject area
Expected Hours:
3-6 hours per week
Schedule:
Primarily weekday afternoons (4-8pm) , potential weekends; most students prefer 1-2x per week.
Work Location:
In-person at students’ homes or public places (library, school, etc.)
