Overview:

Thrive Tutoring is seeking a bright, innovative, and flexible educator to serve as a private tutor and educational guide for a homeschooling family with three young children (PreK through 3rd grade). The family seeks an intellectually curious individual — ideally a graduate student or PhD candidate with some experience in education or a related field — who can dedicate approximately 20-25 hours per week to guiding the children’s education, while also being available for flexible travel with the family to their other homes across the U.S. and internationally (notably Palm Beach, FL, and the Bahamas). The ideal candidate is early in their career, not tied down by significant personal commitments, and energized by the opportunity to create a deeply personalized, tech-enabled learning experience for gifted young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging, high-impact, technology-enhanced lessons personalized to each child’s strengths and interests. Leverage modern education technology platforms to support learning. Travel approximately 100 days per year with the family to various residences. Provide regular feedback and academic updates to the parents. Adapt instructional methods based on student performance and evolving educational technologies. Create an enriching, year-round academic experience with breaks aligned to major holidays.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a highly competitive university required; current enrollment in or pursuit of future graduate studies (Master’s or PhD) preferred. Demonstrated passion for education and working with children. Strong interest and experience in leveraging education technology. Flexible and able to travel on an as-needed basis throughout the year. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Highly organized, self-directed, and energetic.
