Basketball Coordinator i9Sports Hall County and Athens GA Flowery Branch, GA 30542 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Basketball Manager to oversee our basketball program. This role involves managing daily operations, coaching athletes, and ensuring a positive and productive environment for players of all skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for basketball and experience in sports coaching, with the ability to educate and inspire young athletes. Responsibilities Develop and implement training programs that enhance players’ skills and performance based on our model Manage practice schedules, game logistics, and team communications. Foster a supportive environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Provide behavior management to ensure a respectful and focused atmosphere during practices and games. Collaborate with other coaches and staff to coordinate events and activities related to the basketball program. Educate players on the rules of basketball, strategies, and techniques for improvement. Monitor player development and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Maintain safety standards during practices and games, ensuring all equipment is in good condition. Experience Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in basketball; additional experience in volleyball or other sports is a plus. Familiarity with behavior management techniques to effectively guide young athletes. Background in childcare or youth programs is advantageous. Ability to work in a gym setting and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Skills in Flag football or Soccer can be beneficial for team-building activities or cross-training initiatives.
