Games Associate Job Summary:

Games Associates are responsible for the safe operation of the games they are assigned to. They are also responsible for ensuring game sales meet daily per-capita sales goals.

Job Responsibilities:

Report to work 30 minutes before the park opens in the correct uniform, name badge and properly groomed. Display a positive, cooperative attitude toward coworkers and guests. Encourage guests to participate in games and “host” them while playing. Advertise and “sell” the game you are assigned to. Meet daily Per-Capita Sales Goals. Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times. Count out cash at the beginning and end of each shift. Only operate games you have been trained to operate. Ensure no Park Employees participate in any game of skill regardless of if they are on or off-duty. Communicate effectively with Games Supervisor for all areas pertaining to the job, especially for negative Guest interactions, as well as lost items. Maintain a clean work area. Performs other related duties as required.

Education/Experience:

Attending high school. High school diploma or GED certificate is preferred. Previous experience performing in front of groups is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs. consistently. Physical exertion such as frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping, and reaching overhead. Standing and walking for long periods on surfaces such as uneven surfaces and hard flooring. Varying work hours. Working outdoors in all weather conditions in a wide range of temperatures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Display a willingness to learn. Ability to establish priorities, works independently, and proceeds with objectives without supervision. Good communication skills. Display an outgoing, energetic personality.

Safety:

Promote and practice safe work practices at all times. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. Adhere to company, state and federal safety standards and regulations.
