Timekeeper 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 1664 East 14th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11229 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Timekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate timekeeping records for employees, ensuring compliance with employment labor laws and company policies. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work with various payroll systems. The Timekeeper will be responsible for data collection, regulatory reporting, and supporting the payroll process. Responsibilities Maintain accurate timekeeping records for all employees, ensuring compliance with employment labor laws. Utilize payroll systems such as Fingercheck to input and manage employee hours. Conduct research data collection to verify time entries and resolve discrepancies. Communicate effectively with employees regarding timekeeping inquiries and issues. Collaborate with HR and payroll departments to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Daily – Review all electronic timecards to ensure staff are properly recording their time as per company rules.
- Respond to incoming emails related to errors, and adjustments that need to be corrected on staff’s timesheets in a timely manner.
- Ensure all timesheets are processed and approved final by prescribed deadlines.
- Monitor and track time usage and accruals for all employees.
- Generate confidential reports from our time tracking software Fingercheck and forward to HR Director and Clinic Director.
- Identify Patterns of working less hours than allotted schedule, tardiness, excessive absenteeism, improper location of clocking in and out, working un-authorized OT, hourly employees not clocking in and out for lunch, etc. and summarize to HR Director and Clinic Director.
- After the payroll has processed, complete corrections in Fingercheck and notify payroll.
- Obtain Supervisor approval of PTO requests.
- Respond to all employee inquiry requests timely.
- Ad Hoc reporting as needed.
- Perform other related duties and projects, as assigned.
- Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with CCBHC and Agency Human Resources requirements and regulations for EOE.
- Participate in audits and reviews to ensure accuracy of tracking and as directed by the Director of Human Resources
- Complete agency organizational trainings to improve cultural competency, supporting trauma informed services and building collaboration as they align to CCBHC and Agency specific mission.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Experience Proven experience in timekeeping or payroll processing is preferred. Familiarity with employment labor laws and regulations is essential. Experience using payroll systems such as Fingercheck, Lawson, Oracle, or Paylocity is highly desirable. Strong research skills for data collection and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with employees and management. Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
